Review: Kissing In Italian - Lauren Henderson

Kissing in Italian (Flirting in Italian, #2)

Review: Kissing In Italian - Book #2 Flirting in Italian Series - Lauren Henderson - March 2014

A few years back, I read the first book in this series and going through my Kindle last night as I had made it my goal to read some of my earlier brought books I came across Kissing In Italian. I had enjoyed the first book as Violet is studying abroad and comes across an old painting of a princess from the 17th Century. The thing that strikes her odd is that the painting could easily be of her. Growing up, Violet never looked like any of her parents, and now this painting has her questioning her roots. Armed with her friend Kelly, in Book #2 they delve deeper into the Royal family, but things get a tad complicated as Violet is attracted and vice versa to Prince Luca who may or may not is related to her. What will happen though when the King arrives back in town and spots Violet and learns about her? Soon the group is whisked off to Venice, guessing to let things settle. In Venice, Violet's parents and aunt arrive, along with Luca's parents - what will the result of the conversation be? I did like the ending of this book but I have to admit I was hoping for a bit more of a scandal and bigger birth reveals of Violet rather than it being talked about civilly. If you are on the lookout for a cute romance YA read set in the heart of Italy and Venice, then Lauren Henderson's Flirting in Italian series is the books for you.
