Lumberjanes, Vol. 4: Out of Time

Review: Lumberjanes - Volume #4 - Out of Time - Noelle Stevenson - July 2016
Did you ever dream of going away to summer camp or being part of the Girl Scouts? A graphic novel that series that I have picked up at the library I work at and have been enjoying lately is the Lumberjanes. The Lumberjanes are a set of girls who attend a camp to help them prepare for the supernatural and the odd. They are the ones who protect the forest and the creatures. One night they are out of camping and Jen their trusted camp counselor gets lost. Jen ends up near-death and recuperating in a strangers cabin - Abigail. It turns out that Abigail used to be part of the Lumberjanes until she was betrayed by the ones she cared for and thought were his friends. Abigail has dedicated her life to getting rid of the things that harm those in the forest and the evil monsters. Her goal is to get rid of this elephant type creature, the one who has haunted her forever and ruined her life. In this book, I did like how it turned out Abigail and Rosie were friends and their friendship reunited. The other thing I loved was that Jen could have chosen to believe Abigail, but she knew better and cared about her misfit bunch of Lumberjanes. If you are in the mood for a fun tween graphic novel series, then check out Lumberjanes - Volume #4 - Out of Time by Noelle Stevenson.
